Twelfth International Conference on Remote Sensing and Geoinformation of the Environment, 27-29 April, 2026 – Paphos, Cyprus
A special session titled “Remote Sensing Research for Cultural Heritage Protection” will take place on 28 April 2026 in Paphos, Cyprus, inside the Twelfth International Conference on Remote Sensing and Geoinformation of the Environment (27–29 April 2026).
Organised by SATCULT project partner Eratosthenes Centre of Excellence in the SATCULT project context, the event addresses Cypriotic as well as international cultural heritage practitioners and researchers from geoinformation. It will feature the presentation of project results alongside research papers addressing innovative applications of remote sensing for the protection of cultural heritage. The session will conclude with a final discussion, bringing together researchers, practitioners, and stakeholders to exchange insights, reflect on the presented results, and explore future directions for the application of remote sensing in cultural heritage protection.
